The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Remains Committed.
Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the green team. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content on PS5 topics as a new development. The past year represented complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox continues to plan to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its premier subscription.
The Current Inclusions
The two games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.
Major Titles on the Horizon
On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "a superb mixture of frights and fights."
Intriguing Niche Additions
However, the more modest titles coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
In summary, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — transforming them into perfect candidates to get a second chance on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
